Make-Up Matches

  • Make up matches are permitted under the following conditions:
  • The requesting team must get permission from, and make agreeable arrangements with the opposing team before the originally scheduled match.
  • If arrangements for a make-up are not made prior to the scheduled match time the match will be considered a forfeit for the team that does not show. Points will be awarded according to rules 16 and 17.
  • The match is to be played within a time frame of 6 days prior to, or 6 days after the scheduled date.
  • The match may be played on the scheduled course, or may be played on any par 36 course.
  • The team requesting the make-up match is responsible for any cost over the leagues $15 green fees.
  • Teams must play on the same day, against each other, no combining scorecards will be allowed.
  • Teams playing more than 3 make-up matches during the season may be subject to a penalty as determined by the rules committee.
  • Reasonable cooperation relative to make-up matches is expected. Lack of “reasonable” cooperation, and extenuating circumstances may be appealed to the rules committee.
  • The handicap chairman shall be notified of all rescheduled matches.
  • You can’t have two subs. This would result in a forfeit for the team without any team present. The opposing team would receive a bye and the standings would shift to an overall percentage system.
